I really loved this, because it’s almost like Cas unintentionally put Dean in line and it made Dean realize he was being a dick, so he instantly felt guilty.
Its like when you are really upset about a situation so you take it out on those you love.Then you realize you shouldn’t be taking it out on them and you feel horrible. Yet, you don’t want to admit you were being snappy so you just kind of shrink back in denial and change the subject. Cause you really aren’t angry at them you are just angry about what is going on because you can’t control it. You want to fix it but you can’t and it bothers you.
I loved this scene because it was just so….Dean. It’s how he copes with everything. The job. Focus on the job. Stay on target. I’m not going to think about what is bothering me. Repress. I can’t handle it. Repress. I’ll lose my mind. Repress. It’s too painful. Repress. I’ll deal with it later. Repress. Maybe if I ignore it things will go back to how I wish they would be. Repress.
